Reading readiness

We have been making language development and reading readiness a priority in our classroom.

- “Buddy reading” - grade two to five students from Harold Bishop School come to read to our children every week.

- SHINE-SIGN has a large assortment of books. Reading is encouraged daily.

- We are making regular visits to the Harold Bishop school library to: meet with future teachers, get to know school environment and read new books.

- Preschool teachers regularly bring new books from the public library for further enjoyment of reading.
